Notes for english speaking players who want to play our tournament

Hi all!

Since 2009 GFM clan organizes every year in this period a "for fun" tournament played on Team Fortress 2 called "Oktoberfeeest!". This tournament is not the same as the standard ones, with a preformed team who subscribes. In our tournament, teams will be formed randomly by a random draw. Here's why we are accepting subscription by every single player. Don't worry about unbalanced teams: every subscribed player on our tournament will be placed on a particular skill group and then balanced on every team. There are 6 different skill groups (low-mid-pro known or unkown player etc..)

Our Oktoberfeeest! tournament is played on Highlander Mode, 9vs9 with classlimit to 1 (every player needs to play 1 class only). Our match rules are similar to ETF2L's one (check here http://etf2l.org/rules/)

English speaking players can subscribe too. You don't need to know Italian language, but you need to know that most of players are italians so you will hear a lot of italian (bad) words while playing During official matches you will be asked to join our Teamspeak server and stay on team's channel to hear what's going on.. We will tell to our team leaders to make some specific calls in english (like "scout down", "cap the point", "go mid" etc..) so you can understand the situation.

The tournament lasts about 1 month and we will play 1 match (2 maps) every week. Standard playtime is every wednesday at 21.00 CEST, but team leaders can agree to play on another day, so you need to check our tournament website to know exact schedules. (http://stats.gfm.tf/oktoberfest/index.php)

Subscriptions end on 21st september 2014. Team draws are expected to be done on 27th september 2014 and 1st week is supposed to start on 2nd october 2014.

Our tournament is special also because we are giving out some prizes at the end of every week and at the end of the tournament. At the moment prizes are yet to be decided.
